JumpstartMD has an immediate need for a Media and Online Strategies Specialist with top-notch traditional and new media skills. This individual will help fuel the growth of JumpstartMD by managing our corporate website and online presence, and help build our brand via strategic online and traditional media campaigns.
We are looking for a hard-working professional with an entrepreneurial spirit and the skills needed to keep our corporate website, blog and social media platforms fresh and relevant. This person must pursue effective online and traditional media campaigns to engage our customers and build connection within our communities, as well as driving increased demand for our services. Integrated marketing and social media whiz with a passion for healthy nutrition and lifestyle management would be a great fit.
This is a full-time salaried position with benefits, based out of our Financial District office.

Licensed Medical Professional
JumpstartMD is seeking a mission-oriented licensed medical practitioner (P.A. or N.P) to deliver medical care and oversight during consultations with weight-loss patients and to serve as a thought leader on obesity and weight loss for the company. We currently have part-time openings in our East Bay, San Francisco and Peninsula offices. Availability to work a flexible schedule across multiple locations is a plus. Must be willing to work a Saturday morning shift. There is also opportunity for rapid expansion to a full-time position if merited.
Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining a strong knowledge base of weight loss principles and strategies
- Conducting excellent patient consultations
- Building relationships to promote long-term patient success
- Collaborating with other JumpstartMD educators to improve the JumpstartMD program
- Assisting in daily operations
- Providing extraordinary customer service
Qualifications: The ideal licensed Medical Professional at JumpstartMD has a passion for helping individuals transform their lives through nutrition education, exercise guidance, and lifestyle coaching. Candidates must possess these qualities:
- Mastery of the physiology, pharmacology, and psychology underlying the Jumpstart weight loss approach
- Superb interpersonal skills—a “people person,” empathetic listener, sensitive, upbeat, optimistic, articulate, gracious, and tactful
- Ability to quickly build relationships with weight-loss patients with varying backgrounds, personalities, temperaments, and needs
- Genuine empathy and compassion, especially as it relates to undertaking a difficult personal transition
- Strong conviction in the underlying rationale behind our approach
- Curiosity, desire to learn, and dedicated teacher
- Adaptability and desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
- Highly productive and efficient
- Ability to thrive in a team environment
In addition, these qualities are desired but not essential:
- Previous experience in the weight-loss field
- Background in nutrition, fitness, teaching, or coaching
- History of weight struggle and/or experience with the JumpstartMD program

Clinical Receptionist
Position Overview:
JumpstartMD seeks a polished, self-directed, mission minded individual with outstanding interpersonal skills, to act as our first-point-of-contact for new and returning patients. Through a combination of tasks and qualities, this team member paves the way for an exemplary customer experience and sets the tone for patients and staff in the office.

- Greet and welcome patients. Act as patient host.
- Manage the patient calendar.
- Collaborate with team members to direct operational flow.
- Assist in opening and closing procedures.
- Provide extraordinary customer service and conflict resolution.
- Maintain a strong knowledge base of the current JumpstartMD policies and procedures. Enable their implementation in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
