Program Counselor

 Position Overview

Jumpstart MD seeks mission-oriented professionasl to provide one-on-one consultations with weight-loss patients via nutrition education, exercise guidance, and lifestyle coaching. Program Counselors play an essential role in the patient experience and success at JumpstartMD. We are currently looking for a part -time Program Counselor our Pleasanton clinic. Flexibility with regard to schedule is a plus, as is the ability travel between locations. A  Saturday morning shift is required. Background/education in psychology, counseling, social work, or similar experience is preferred.  Opportunity to transition to full-time is possible in the future based upon company needs and individual performance.

Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting patient consultations, ranging from one-hour initial consultations to weekly 15-minute check-ups
  • Building relationships to promote long-term patient success
  • Maintaining a strong knowledge base of weight loss principles and strategies
  • Collaborating with other Jumpstart educators to continuously improve the JumpstartMD program
  • Assisting in daily operations
  • Providing extraordinary customer service

Job Summary:

Jumpstart Medicine is seeking a mission-oriented licensed medical practitioner (P.A. or N.P) to deliver medical care and oversight during consultations with weight-loss patients and to serve as a thought leader on obesity and weight loss at JumpstartMD.

We are currently seeking full and part-time positions in the following regions-  East Bay clinics (Pleasanton and Piedmont); South Bay (Los Gatos and Mountainview) and San Francisco (Laurel Heights and Financial District) Saturday shift if required.  Flexibility and ability to travel to various clinics is a plus.  Clinic hours begin at 7am.  We would also consider a per-diem clinician.

Responsibilities:

Provide routine care and management of patients as outlined in JumpstartMD’s standardized procedures.

Model exemplary patient interaction and program delivery:

  • Exude warmth, empathy, positivity and confidence with patients
  • Use active listening to collect information and maintain a patient-centered focus
  • Assess patients skillfully to identify their needs
  • Apply teaching and counseling techniques skillfully to address patients’ needs
  • Conduct productive, efficient patient consultations

Provide on-site leadership and direction to staff as needs arise

  • Assist Program Counselors with patient-related issues
  • Elevate program or operational issues to Clinician Manager or Director of Operations

Develop and maintain a strong knowledge base of weight loss principles and effective use of 15 Healthy Habits resources

  • Embrace learning to continually strive for better results with patients

Patient Care Coordinator

Position Overview:

JumpstartMD seeks a polished, self-directed, mission-minded individual with outstanding interpersonal skills, to act as our first-point-of-contact for new and returning patients.  Through a combination of tasks and qualities, this team member paves the way for an exemplary customer experience and sets the tone for patients and staff in the office.  Saturday morning shift is often required.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Greet and welcome patients. Act as patient host.
  • Manage the patient calendar.
  • Collaborate with team members to direct operational flow.  Take “ownership” of the clinic operations.
  • Assist in opening and closing procedures.
  • Provide extraordinary customer service and creative conflict resolution.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge base of the current JumpstartMD policies and procedures. Enable their implementation in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Process orders, collect payments, and manage office inventory.
  • Identify any necessary office improvements, and act to address them.

Brief Overview:

JumpstartMD is a rapidly growing medically-supervised weight management practice with eleven offices throughout the Bay Area.  Through one-on-one education, lifestyle coaching, and ongoing support, our patient care team guides patients toward their weight management and health goals.

This newly-created strategically important position will be highly visible in supporting our explosive growth through an enhanced customer experience.  The goal of this department is to bring our patient (customer) experience to a whole new level of satisfaction.

In addition to executing on a variety of initiatives related to optimizing patient satisfaction, you will be managing four (4) full-time and (4) part-time employees, with the probability of rapid growth.  This position will report directly to our Director, Relationship Management.

Job Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Help develop and implement a variety initiatives aimed at maximizing our patients’ satisfaction and optimizing their journey through our practice.
  • Supervise a team of full-time and part-time employees in our Patient Services department.
  • Handle customer escalations.  Communicate with our patients, over the phone and via email, regarding our solutions.
  • Direct training efforts to bring new representatives on board.  Monitor effectiveness of each representative.  Provide support as needed.
  • Collect and analyze data related to maximizing our patients’ ability to reach us quickly and easily.  Manage the schedule Patient Services employees according to input from incoming call data.
  • Monitor our “Satisfaction” email box and phone lines; address all issues that come through that channel.  Develop plans of actions as trends are identified.
  • Establish, tweak, and communicate processes aimed at improving communication with our patients.  Identify when incremental changes need to be made with established processes.

WORKFORCE PLANNING ANALYST

Job Summary:

 JumpstartMD seeks a Workforce Planning Analyst who is responsible for providing value-added analysis of the current, future and prospective workforce. The candidate will analyze data from several systems that provide scheduling and appointment history.  They will use data and tools to recommend and implement staffing and schedule decisions and create a continuous feedback loop with business partners in order to successfully fulfill the JumpstartMD supply chain of staffing and hours of availability. JumpstartMD is undergoing tremendous growth and as a result, there is significant opportunity for challenge and development. This position reports to the Workforce Operations Manager and is based out of our Burlingame, CA.

Candidate Attributes:

JumpstartMD looking for an analyst who is experienced with assessing business needs, applying data from several sources into dynamic and predictive models, capturing and sharing business partner feedback to deliver a staffing schedule that allows the business to optimize service delivery and profitability.  These models would support ongoing expansion of JumpstartMD physical locations as well as telephony and online service queues.  The candidate should be passionate about problem solving and comfortable with streamlining processes and iterative and long-term planning.  They should be diplomatic, nimble, flexible and able to deliver projects that support profitable growth and a culture of excellence

 Responsibilities

The Workforce Planning Analyst will be responsible for supporting the strategic vision and goals of JumpstartMD. Specific responsibilities include:

Fact-based workforce analysis

  • Use emerging HR data to provide fact-based, value-adding analysis of human capital information and deliver better business decisions and results.
  • Aggregate and analyze data pulled from business systems; provide insights and a point of view on analysis and recommendations.  Summarize analysis into easily digestible points for management-level consumption.
  • Uncover insights through recurring analysis within workforce planning, talent acquisition and workforce optimization.

Forecasting and workforce planning

  • Modeling of workforce trends in order to support better and faster decision making and development of exceptional staffing plans.
  • Maintain workforce analytics in coordination with HR, business leaders and IT partners to ensure that systems capability can produce analysis and work products needed.
  • Managing and delivering workforce master schedule on an ongoing basis.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, statistics, finance or related field.
  • Demonstrated strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to experiment with and rapidly iterate on new approaches is a critical success factor for this position
  • Ability to connect workforce information to create models and trends for insights and forecasting
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Visio is required.  Experience with Microsoft Access and/or other RDBMS is preferred.
